Born in Mexico City and raised in Miami, Aurora earned her BA in Interior & Graphic Design from IADE Madrid in 1992. After working in the field of interior design, her passion for art led her to London, where she furthered her studies in Art History at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
In 1999, she joined Sotheby’s London as a Junior Specialist in the European Paintings Department, organizing the successful annual Spanish Paintings sales. Aurora transferred to Sotheby’s Madrid in 2003 as Director of Fine Arts, and in 2007 was appointed Director of Sothebys Barcelona where she grew the regional market exponentially.
By 2010, Aurora returned to Madrid to serve as Managing Director of Sotheby’s Spain, where she oversaw landmark sales across Impressionist, Modern, and Latin American Art and played a pivotal role in elevating Spanish artists—such as Joaquín Sorolla, Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa, and Ignacio Zuloaga—to new international recognition and record auction prices.
After 26 years at Sotheby’s, Aurora and Alexandra Schader launched their independent advisory in 2025, continuing to serve an international roster of collectors with the same dedication, insight, and integrity that have defined her career.

"To us, you are more than a client — you are a partner. You can trust that our guidance is rooted in serving your best interests."
